School Policies

Guiding Excellence, Discipline, and Faith

Our school policies are built to create a structured, respectful, and nurturing learning environment that supports academic success, spiritual growth, and moral integrity. These policies reflect our commitment to Christian values, personal responsibility, and community well-being.

All students, parents, staff, and visitors are expected to uphold these standards to maintain a safe, disciplined, and God-honoring atmosphere.

📘 Academic Policy

We maintain high academic standards across all levels of education. Students are expected to:

  • Attend all classes punctually and prepared
  • Complete assignments and homework on time
  • Participate actively in learning activities
  • Strive for excellence and integrity in all academic work

Cheating, plagiarism, and dishonesty are not tolerated and may result in disciplinary action.

🧑🏽‍🏫 Attendance and Punctuality Policy

Regular attendance is vital for academic success. Students must:

  • Attend school daily unless ill or excused
  • Arrive on time for school and each lesson
  • Submit a written note or medical report after any absence

Unexcused absences may affect academic performance and disciplinary standing.

🙏 Spiritual Life Policy

As a faith-based institution, daily devotions, prayer, and Christian worship are an essential part of our routine. Students are encouraged to:

  • Participate respectfully in all spiritual activities
  • Uphold Christian values in conduct and speech
  • Attend Bible study, chapel services, and other spiritual programs

👕 Uniform and Dress Code Policy

Students must wear the prescribed school uniform daily. The uniform must be:

  • Neat, clean, and complete
  • Free from unauthorized alterations
  • Accompanied by proper footwear (closed-toe shoes)

Improper dress may result in a warning or disciplinary action.

📱 Discipline and Code of Conduct

We promote discipline based on love, correction, and restoration. Students are expected to:

  • Show respect to teachers, staff, peers, and property
  • Refrain from bullying, fighting, or using foul language
  • Avoid use of mobile phones or electronic devices during school hours
  • Follow instructions promptly and peacefully

Repeat violations may result in parent meetings, suspension, or expulsion depending on the severity.

🛑 Health and Safety Policy

The health and safety of our students is a top priority. We:

  • Maintain a clean and secure environment
  • Follow basic hygiene and first-aid procedures
  • Require disclosure of any medical conditions or allergies
  • Expect students to follow safety rules during class, break, and activities

💬 Parent Communication Policy

We value strong parent-school partnerships. To enhance communication:

  • Parents are encouraged to attend PTA meetings and school events
  • Progress reports and report cards are issued regularly
  • Concerns should be addressed respectfully through the appropriate school channels (teachers, administration)

📚 Homework and Study Policy

Homework reinforces classroom learning and builds independence. Students are expected to:

  • Complete and submit homework on time
  • Use their study time wisely at home
  • Ask for help when they do not understand an assignment

🔄 Policy Updates

All school policies are reviewed periodically. Parents and guardians will be notified of any significant updates via official school communication channels.

By enrolling at Power in the Blood International School, families agree to abide by these policies and work with us in providing a safe, God-honoring, and excellence-driven environment for every child.
